Nicky Van Rossem

Nicky Van Rossem is a Teaching Assistant in Sport Policy and Sport Management within the Sport & Society (SASO) research group. Her responsibilities are focused on guiding and supporting the course Sport Management at the undergraduate level and the Individual Sport Management Internships at the graduate level. In this capacity, she assists aspiring sport managers in their professional development and empowers them to translate their knowledge into impactful professional practice. 

 

Alongside her academic role, Nicky has served as an Athlete Pathway Manager at the Belgian Olympic and Interfederal Committee (BOIC) since 2017. In this position, she focuses, together with the different elite sport partners, on guiding and supporting (young) elite athletes during the various stages of their careers, from talent development to their post-athletic transition. Her ambition is to keep improving the different support systems for Belgian athletes.
