Jo Van Hoecke

Jo Van Hoecke (1972) has a PhD in Physical Education (Sport Management) of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. He is Associate Professor at the Department of Movement and Sport Sciences and teaches sport marketing and entrepreneurship. His research focusses on the management of sport clubs and youth academies in particular. He is also Business / Product Manager of Double PASS, a spin-off company of the Vrije Universiteit Brussels in the field of Quality and Performance Management in Sports. He is involved in different projects regarding auditing and certification of youth development systems in sport. The Foot PASS model has been implemented by different federations and leagues (Flemish Football Federation, Deutsche Fußball Liga and Deutscher Fußball-Bund, Finnish Football Association and the FA Premier League).
