Researchers from Sport & Society at the VUB have prepared a report as part of the project entitled "Sports in prison: A plan for the future (SPPF)". This project is co-funded by Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union and is coordinated by De Rode Antraciet from Belgium. Researchers at the VUB have conducted a review of the literature to map existing practices that facilitate the use of sport activities to prepare prisoners for life after prison and sport activities that (might) have a link with the outside world. They have also conducted an online survey to gain additional insights from prison staff on the organisation and evaluation of sport activities in prison. The survey was distributed throughout the networks of the project partners.
